Santiago Rodriguez. – President Luis Abinader left inaugurated this Saturday four important works in this province provoking reactions of satisfaction among its inhabitants.
After having delivered two works yesterday in Santiago, the president continued his schedule of inaugurations in this province of the Border Line, commissioning a children’s day care center, a nursing home, an apartment project, and a chapel.
Community members José Eugenio Almonte, Francisco Tejada, Ramón Torres and Edelmira Vilorio, residents of this province, expressed their gratitude to President Abinader for the works he has been carrying out in Santiago Rodríguez that, according to what they said, bring well-being to the people.
They defined Abinader as the best president that has passed through this country and considered that everything the Government is doing is good and correct.
The first of the four inaugurations led by the Head of State was that of a new caipi Monción, in this province, which will offer comprehensive quality care to 250 newly admitted boys and girls between the ages of 0 and 5, residing in seven neighborhoods of this productive municipality.
Addressing a few words to those present, the president responded to a request made by the priest Lucas Cruz, regarding the Monción aqueduct and repair of neighboring roads, indicating that the director of INAPA, Welington Arnaud, will proceed to make the corresponding tenders with a an amount greater than RD$1,000 million pesos and ordered that the neighboring roads be repaired in conjunction with the work being carried out in the province by the Ministry of Tourism.
The 250 infants enrolled in the CAIPI Monción will be receiving services from 7:30 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon, in 10 rooms distributed according to age range.
The center also has a lactation area, a play area, a feeder, children’s bathrooms, an administrative area, parking lots, a kitchen, as well as food and supplies stores, among other areas.
Delivery project Mi Vivienda Santiago Rodríguez
Later, the ruler inaugurated the Mi Vivienda Santiago Rodríguez project in this province on the northwest line of the country.
Mi Vivienda Santiago Rodríguez is a housing project that consists of 80 apartments that will benefit more than 200 Dominicans in a vulnerable situation who did not have their own property. The construction of this project will greatly improve the quality of life of residents in this province, known for the Coffee Route, the Moncion Dam, the Acasabe de Doña Mechi and its renowned Sabaneta Central Park.
The Head of State recalled the personal commitment to housing policies, and the plans designed throughout the country and explained that all the projects started in past governments are being finalized as a form of State continuity.
“We are committed to the housing sector, to improve the quality of Dominicans and to serve those who need it most in all the provinces of the country,” added the president.
The work was developed in 59% by the current administration of the Ministry of Housing and Buildings (MIVED). This initiative also had a positive impact on the economy of the area, generating more than 180 jobs.
The Minister of Housing and Buildings, Carlos Bonilla, expressed during the delivery that “these homes are added to the more than 2,000 delivered by MIVED throughout the national territory and that the Ministry will continue to build homes and transform lives.”
The project is developed on 8,989.60 square meters. Mi Vivienda Santiago Rodríguez, is made up of 13 three-story buildings. The apartments have three bedrooms, bathroom, laundry area, living room, dining room, kitchen and balcony.

Delivery of Casa Hogar in Sabaneta that will benefit more than 70 elderly people
As part of his visit to the province of Santiago Rodríguez, President Abinader delivered the Nursing Home in the municipality of San Ignacio de Sabaneta, which will house 30 people and indirectly benefit more than 70.
The construction had an investment of more than RD$40 million pesos and was carried out through the Presidential Commission for Provincial Development Support (CPADP).
The director of Planning and Development of the CPADP, Leandro Mieses, highlighted the work delivered which he said will be of great benefit to the elderly in the region.
Delivery of the Pilot Chapel for the Diocese of Mao-Montecristi
The ruler also inaugurated the Pilot Chapel for the Mao-Montecristi Diocese in the municipality of Cercadillo, which has a hall for parishioners, a store, bathrooms, a sacristy, concrete sidewalks, ornamentation and landscaping. As well as the reconditioning of exterior areas and drains, placement of a perimeter fence.
Supervises “You First” conference in Monción
President Abinader also supervised the “First You” social inclusion day in the municipality of Monción, Santiago Rodríguez province, where he urged the residents of the area to take advantage of all the institutions that are present so that when they have a need they know where to go.
Why this program? Because we want to unify in a single point all the social services of the government, in such a way that you can know, know for you and your family which government agencies attend to any need or requirement that you have, “said President Abinader.
These conferences are coordinated and directed by the General Directorate of Strategies and Special Programs of the Presidency (PROPEEP), directed by Minister Roberto Ángel Salcedo.
Among the participating institutions were the National Health Insurance (SeNaSa), the National Health Service (SNS); the Supérate program, the National Council on Disability (CONADIS), the National Council for the Aged (CONAPE), the National Institution for Early Childhood Care (INAIPI) and the Program for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (PROMIPYME ), among other.
Visit to Cassidom
Also, as part of his work schedule, the president visited the facilities of the Casabe Industry (Casidom) in Monción where he observed the preparation and packaging of the product. The processing plant contributes 40 direct and 250 indirect to the municipality, boosting the economy of the area.
Attends the inauguration of the expansion of the production plant of Industrias San Miguel
President Abinader attended the inauguration of the two new production lines that are part of the expansion of the Industrias San Miguel (ISM) plant.
The two new lines had an investment of more than 900 million pesos and it is planned for the next 5 years to invest more than 5 billion pesos for the production of new products, which will allow the creation of new jobs in a way directly and indirectly and the continuation of the revitalization in the economy of the Dominican Republic.
President Abinader has lunch with employees and officials of the health sector in Santiago Rodríguez
Likewise, President Abinader participated in a lunch with the health sector of this province at the facilities of the Coopsano cooperative club, complying with the agenda scheduled for this day.
The president thanked the efforts made by the nurses and health personnel in the different centers of the town and in a special way the delivery of the personnel during the covid-19 pandemic.
For tomorrow, Sunday, the Head of State will continue his inauguration program in the province of Pedernales, where he will leave the Vocational School of the Armed Forces and the 14/24 Program in operation, and the local sports center, where, in addition, he will deliver property titles to families.
