The American singer Tonya Boyd-Cannon continues today her tour of Cuban stages with a concert at the National Museum of Fine Arts.
The presentation, which will take place today at 7:00 pm, will be a new opportunity to enjoy the vocalist’s talent, strengthen ties in the field of arts between nations and commemorate the Afro-American Month, said the Cuban Institute of Music.
Since February 19 and until the 24th, the singer fulfills a varied agenda in which stands out the recital held at the Teatro Martí and the tour of art schools, cultural institutions and community projects with the purpose of exchanging experiences with creators and the public.
Boyd-Cannon’s visit is the result of the coordinated work of the United States Embassy, the Ministry of Culture, the Cuban Institute of Music and the Office of the City Historian.
With a recognized talent in the interpretation of the piano, organ, drums and saxophone, the artist boasts an outstanding resume with awards in competitions such as Budweiser’s Battle for the Crown. She has several albums and has performed at different music festivals.
