Premier Gustavo Adrianzén said that he estimates that, “in two months,” the construction of a police front will begin in Pataz, La Libertad, an area rich in gold, where the La Poderosa mining company operates under the threat of illegal mining.
Adrianzén said this after Perú21 revealed that, last Sunday, illegal miners blew up, Shining Path style, a high voltage tower in Pataz.
“Pataz is an area that has been successively declared in emergency, we have gone to the area on two occasions, and we have been able to verify the difficult situation that exists there, this is a consequence of illegal mining; the misuse that is being given to it. to Reinfo, a consequence of the trafficking of explosives, and this is transnational organized crime,” said Adrianzén.
“The La Libertad region had arranged the donation of land,” Adrianzén explained, “and the La Poderosa mining company itself had committed to contributing to the construction of the police front; the Ministry of the Interior and the National Police are going to provide the troops, and other equipment that is needed for the installation of that; I imagine that this will take a few months, I presume that in a couple of months the construction of this police front will have already begun, which will contribute to providing greater security to the area “.
ATTACK IN PATAZ IN THE STYLE OF SL
Around 2 a.m. this Sunday, strong explosions, as if it were an attack by the Shining Path, echoed among the gold-rich hills of the province of Pataz.
Illegal miners demolished a high-voltage tower with dynamite, which was installed last year by the Poderosa mining company in the area, as part of an electrical system that benefits the company and the districts of the province.
There were three deafening explosions. Two of them to mislead the police. One, the strongest, was the objective.
In seconds, a huge iron structure was knocked down, causing power outages in several districts and annexes of Pataz. One of those was the Los Alisos annex. That was the first step of the plan.
WAR IN SINKS
The power outage caused all electrical systems, which other illegal miners use to bring air and light to the shafts where they work, to be interrupted. That’s where the second phase of the plan began.
The criminals who demolished the tower went to one of those holes and, according to police sources, they had a strong but brief confrontation.
The terrorists who knocked down the tower managed to corner 17 illegal miners who were working in the shaft. They didn’t kill them, they did something worse. They dynamited part of the hole and left them trapped between the bowels of the hill and a pile of earth and rocks that the explosion left behind.
Most likely in the next few hours, those 17 people will die from lack of food or oxygen. It will happen a few meters from the new ‘owners’ of that sinkhole, the criminals who demolished the tower, who are already taking out the gold, earned through terror.
