To protest against the Catholic Church for the case of the pregnant girl product of a rape, this Sunday two groups of activists from Mujeres Creando broke into the Eucharistic celebrations that were taking place in the Cathedral of Santa Cruz and the Basilica of San Francisco de La Paz .

“Raped girl, I baptize your abortion as redemption” and “a raped girl is forced to give birth, their pedophile priests are helped to flee,” the activists shouted in La Paz while the Sunday mass was celebrated.

In Santa Cruz, under the same motto, the homily of Monsignor Sergio Gualberti broke out, who asked this Sunday to respect human life after stating that not even the State has the right to decide on it to solve a problem.

Mujeres Creando put paint on the walls of the Santa Cruz cathedral amid incidents with Catholic faithful and municipal guards.

The Church rejected the legal abortion of the 11-year-old girl raped by her stepfather’s father and now protects and provides assistance to her.

This is how the Cathedral of Santa Cruz remained.

The Government and the Ombudsman’s Office file demands for the law to be complied with and abortion to proceed.

Through a statement, the United Nations (UN) said on Wednesday that subjecting a girl to a forced pregnancy is considered “torture” and that the prohibition of the termination of pregnancy can constitute “abuse”, since that puts women at risk
