The Women’s Volleyball Club World Cup begins this Tuesday (9) in São Paulo with two Brazilian teams among the eight participants: Praia Clube (MG) and Osasco (SP). The first to debut at Ginásio Pacaembu will be the Minas Gerais club, current South American champion, who will face Zamalek (Egypt), starting at 10 am (Brasília time), in Group B. Osasco, winner of the 2024/25 Superliga, will take the court at 8:30 pm against Alianza Lima (Peru) – newcomers to the tournament – in the first round of Group A. The games will feature live broadcast on VBTV, streaming of the International Volleyball Federation.
In addition to Brazil, Italy also competes with two teams: current champion Conegliano, which has national team forward Gabi Guimarães in its squad, and Scandicci, for the first time in the competition. The other participants are Zhetysu (Kazakhstan) and Orlando Valkyries (United States).
