The PPD rejected a tweet from the National Office for Religious Affairs (ONAR), dependent on the General Secretariat of the Presidency (Segpres), which insulted the president of the party, Natalia Piergentili. In this regard, they asked the Executive to “take measures.”
The ONAR account published the following message -which they later deleted- about Piergentili: “dead woman walking”. This, regarding the decision of the PPD to go on a separate list to Approve Dignity (plus the PS) in view of the election of the Constitutional Council, and the determination that the president of the party go as a candidate for counselor for the Metropolitan Region.

In response to the message, the Vice Presidency for Women of the PPD “strongly” rejected the attack and called for “an end to political violence with a gender component in any of its forms.”
“To this rejection, a large number of women from our party are added, who identify different forms of violence in this statement. We believe, as the first thing, that each political party has the independence to make their own decisions sovereignly, without this being a cause of insult to the members of their party, or their board of directors,” they added.
Finally, they asked the Government “to take charge of this type of demonstrations. To take the measures in this regard and to send the corresponding apologies once the person responsible is identified.”
For her part, the Minister for Women, Antonia Orellanastated on his Twitter account: “I condemn all forms of violence against women, including politics, which severely limits our participation. I contacted the president of the PPD to convey my solidarity.”
