The warning is made by the Dominican Association of Poultry Farmers (ADA), who assured that investment in the sector is being discouraged. The organization calls on the government not to insist on this project for which the local industry was not taken into account, nor was the number of jobs that could be lost if it is carried out.
The Association of Poultry Farmers joins institutions such as the Association of Industries, the Confederation of Agricultural Producers (Confenagro), the Association of Milk Producers and the Agribusiness Board, who believe that promoting national production, reducing the impact of rising commodity prices premiums and other goods used to produce, is the best way to deal with inflation.
