The Departmental Legislative Assembly of Potosí called a regular session to elect an interim governor for an alleged trip by Jhonny Mamani, who is under house arrest for the case of the ghost ambulances.
Assemblywoman Azucena Fuertes questioned the attempt to authorize Mamani’s trip, under the argument of the right to work granted by the justice system, when he ordered house arrest.
“Can a person with house arrest travel outside of their department of residence and also, place of house arrest? Does the right to work imply trips outside the place set for home detention? Doing a quick compilation of similar cases, I find news where authorities (at the time) with house arrest were not allowed to travel or to their towns, “observed Fuertes from his social networks.
He recalled the case of Sabina Cuéllar, andxprefect of Chuquisaca, who was not allowed to travel to Huacareta to pick chili and market it. Likewise, he pointed out the current situation of the governor of La Paz, Santos Quispe, who has a restriction on working hours.
The call for Ordinary Session No. 043/2022 dated October 25 appointment to the assembly members at 09:30 tomorrow morning, Wednesday. The agenda includes: attendance control, reading of the call, appointment of governor/ra ai and others.
“Because of the importance of the session punctual and disciplined attendance is requestedunder your entire responsibility in case of non-compliance”, refers to the note also published by Fuertes.
