The election of the 15 thousand justices of the peace for more than five thousand communal circuits is scheduled for December 15
The Minister of Communes, Angel Pradoreported this Thursday, November 28, that the application process to be a justice of the peace was postponed until Friday the 29th, as it assures that in rural and indigenous areas they want “more time” in order to finish their documentation.
Prado, in contact with VTV, stated that there is a “large number” of people who submitted their applications for the 15 thousand regular positions and the 15 thousand substitutes, forming a total of 30 thousand people who will have powers to administer justice in the more than five thousand communal circuits in the country and relieve the system.
The process to nominate candidates will close at 6:00 on Friday, highlighting that Venezuelans want to have more responsibilities in the construction of their daily actions; as they already began to enjoy with the management of public services, the popular economy and health plans in order to handle cases with minor crimes and solve problems in the communities without having to go to higher authorities and make the process slower .

The nomination was scheduled to end this Thursday in order to take the candidates to an election process on December 15. However, there are sectors that suggest postponing these elections because, although they consider the figure to speed up the procedural delay as positive, the legal framework that will cover them for their powers, as well as the stipend they will receive and other things is not ready yet.
The director of the micondominio.com portal, Elías Santana, proposed helping from that instance to the training of justices of the peace and that the elections can be extended to March 30, this with the objective that a solid regulation can be developed that allows those elected to serve as justices of the peace and comply with the requirements of the law, since it warns that they cannot serve until they are trained to do so by the Judiciary.
