Positivity of infections by Covid-19 increases to 12.2%


The report reveals that to date 774,549 confirmed cumulative cases of Covid-19 and one death in the last 24 hours, for a cumulative to date of 8,184 deaths and a lethality of 1.0%.

For the second consecutive day, positive cases of Covid-19 exceed the barrier of 800 per day. This afternoon the Ministry of Health revealed in its daily report that 874 new positive cases are reported. This increase in cases has also caused positivity to skyrocket and is above 12%.

The Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, specified that, for today, positivity exceeds 12%, so, although the vaccine does not protect from contagion by Covid-19, it is an effective weapon to avoid serious conditions in the room or in the hospital. ICU, as it strengthens the immune system against the virus.

The report reveals that to date 774,549 confirmed cumulative cases of Covid-19 and one death in the last 24 hours, for a cumulative to date of 8,184 deaths and a lethality of 1.0%.

The number of recoveries amounted to 761,123 and in the last 24 hours 7,156 tests were applied for a positivity of 12.2%.
