Panama registers one of the lowest figures in recent weeks in coronavirus infections, since today it reports 146 positive cases and 3 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the epidemiological report issued by the Ministry of Health (Minsa). This means that at least 6 people are getting coronavirus per hour.
In addition, the Minsa highlighted that since the beginning of the pandemic in the country there have been 759,782 confirmed accumulated cases and 8,140 deaths for a lethality of 1.1%.
The report details that those recovered amount to 749,222 with 433 new recovered for today. They also detail that they applied 3,668 tests for a positivity of 4.0%.
Currently, 2,420 active cases are reported, of which 2,297 are in home isolation (2,268 at home out of 29 in hotels) and 123 hospitalized (108 in the Ward and 15 in the ICU).
Regarding vaccination, they highlight that they have applied 7,768,360 dose against Covid-19; of them 3,392,894 with first dose; 2,977,632 with two doses and 1,386,796 with a booster dose.
