The report on covid-19 in Venezuela on January 31 indicates that Portuguesa and 10 other entities reported new cases. It is also reported about 21 new infections that arrived in the country from Panama during the day; adding a total of 45 cases
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez reported that 45 new infections were detected during the day of Tuesday, January 31, 2022, of which 24 were registered within the country and the rest, that is, 21 cases, come from people who arrived in the country from the outside.
According to the statistics, the “community” cases were reported in 10 of the 24 federal entities of the country with Portuguesa in the lead, where six new patients were reported in four of its 14 municipalities: Páez (2), Ospino (2) , Agua Blanca (1) and Araure (1).
Yaracuy (5), Miranda (3), Vargas (3), Capital District (2), Falcón (1), Zulia (1), Lara (1), Anzoátegui (1) and Aragua (1) followed in the list.
While Táchira, Mérida, Trujillo, Apure, Barinas, Cojedes, Carabobo, Guárico, Bolívar, Amazonas, Monagas, Delta Amacuro, Sucre and Nueva Esparta did not report new cases of covid-19 on the day.
On the other hand, 21 new infections were detected that arrived in Venezuela from abroad, specifically from Panama.

The official statistics published by Rodríguez in his social media Regarding the day of January 31, 2023, the total number of covid-19 cases that Venezuela reports daily increased. In this sense, 1,052 days after the detection of the first infections on March 13, 2020, a total of 551,587 and 545,003 recovered patients are reported, which according to official data represents 99% of overcoming the disease.
Currently, there are 739 active cases of covid-19 in the country according to the figures released by the authorities, of which 45 are treated in the public network of hospitals; 60 in Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI), 30 in private clinics and 604 people who are in home isolation or “supervised community care”.
During the last 24 hours, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez did not report new deaths from covid-19 in the national territory; which indicates that the number of deaths from this disease, according to the official record, remained stable at 5,845.
