Portuguese coach Artur Jorge is no longer in charge of Botafogo’s professional football team. General Severiano’s team announced the end of the contract with the coach on Friday night (3).
The coach, who arrived at Botafogo in April 2024, led Alvinegro in 55 matches (totaling 31 wins, 15 draws and nine defeats). During this period the team won the Libertadores da América and the Brazilian Championship titles.
“The Club thanks the professional champions of Conmebol Libertadores and Brasileirão in 2024 for the achievements achieved. The new technical committee will be announced soon”, Botafogo announced in a post on social media.
