Auxílio Brasil – the main income distribution program of the federal government – will start paying minimum installments of R$ 600 to families registered in the program, informed the Minister of Citizenship, Ronaldo Vieira Bento, in an interview with the program. The Voice of Brazil.
Bento informed that the government also increased the value of the gas aid, which starts to pay installments equivalent to 100% of the value of the natural gas cylinder in Brazil – around R$ 110. The forecast is that 5 million families will receive the benefit in August.
“We are coming on a crescent. This year alone, in 2022, we had already put more than 5 million families on the payroll. We zeroed out the queue at the beginning of the year. The program is dynamic”, said the minister.
The amount of R$ 600 is the floor of the Auxílio Brasil program, and will be paid to absolutely all families that have had their registration approved and that have their information up to date in CadÚnico, informed Ronaldo Vieira Bento.
Another novelty is access to payroll-deductible lines of credit for beneficiaries of Auxílio Brasil. As advanced by the Minister of Citizenship, an ordinance will be issued shortly with the basic rules for the offer. The terms, interest, values and details have not yet been revealed by the folder.
“We are making all these families [que recebem o Auxílio Brasil] have access to this part of credit that the formal market brings to the population”, added Vieira Bento.
