In August, a total of 569,675 mobile lines changed operator through the numerical portabilitythe supervisory agency of private investment in telecommunications reported (Osiptel).
This result represented a growth of 3.99% compared to the same month last year, and an advance of 2.21% in relation to what was recorded in July this year.
“Since May 2024, the number of mobile portations is sustained above the 500,000 monthly lines, which reflects the dynamism of this market, promoted by the intense competition between the operators to capture and retain users,” Osiptel said.
According to information from the Portability Database Administrator (ABDP), in August, Claro registered the largest number of positive nets (more lines gained than lost) with 16,210 lines, followed by Entel (3,240) and Bitel (1,681).
Regarding the portability of fixed lines, 1,126 changed the operating company nationwide. The Win, Convertia and Claro companies got the greatest positive net balances of 472, 192 and 68 lines covered, respectively.
