He Dominican Popular Bank will reaffirm its leadership and support for the development of Dominican tourism with its participation in the ITB Berlin International Tourist Exchangewhich will take place from March 7 to 9 in Berlin, Germany, where it will exhaust an agenda of some 20 meetings with tourism companies, investors and relevant entities in the sector to specify business opportunities in progress or identify new ones.
The financial entity explained in a press release that, during the ITB Berlin, the Popular will continue to strengthen its alliances, for which it will offer its traditional cocktail businessmen and hotel investors and the authorities of the Ministry of Tourism and members of the Dominican delegation present at this fair.
Accompaniment to the tourism sector
The bank claimed to be “the main funder history of tourism in the Dominican Republic, with a trajectory of three decades contributing to the development of this industry, and as part of its catalytic role, it actively accompanies the sector in international fairs”, says the statement. Popular has participated in the ITB Berlin since the 2014.
The ITB Berlin, which began in 1966 and is considered one of the main tourism fairs in the world, resumes its face-to-face edition this year after the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this edition, the event seeks to gradually recover its level of attendance, which exceeded 160,000 people.
The German fair is reorienting to focus on the B2B segment (Business to Business) or business between companies in the sectors of hotels, airlines, tour operators, tourism agencies or car rental, among others, the document highlights.
In this sense, the trade show will address a program of three days dedicated to businesscontent and relationships between these professionals, with selected sessions that will be broadcast live through the itb.com portal.
In addition to its presence at ITB Berlin, Popular attends other international fairs that strengthen the position of the Dominican Republic as a world-class destination, such as the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), in Madrid, Spain; the International French Travel Market – Top Resa, in Paris, France and the World Travel Market in London.
