Popular, the most digital and sustainable bank, according to World Finance

Santo Domingo, DN– The Dominican Popular Bank it was recognized as the most digital and sustainable bank of 2022; and its financial application, the Popular App, as the best in its segment, according to the financial magazine World Finance.

The British publication published the results of its annual awards, the World Finance Banking Awards 2022, where for the third time Banco Popular was recognized as the “most digital bank” and App Popular as the “best financial application” in the Dominican Republic.

Meanwhile, this is the first time that the magazine focused on financial analysis has awarded this bank with the “most sustainable bank” award in the country.

According to the magazine, the banking organizations that have won these awards have been those that have sustained their actions with an eye toward “higher purposes,” as well as empowering their customers through the facilities provided by technology.

Leading the path of sustainable development

The executive president of Popular, Mr. Christopher Paniagua, on behalf of the financial institution, thanked these acknowledgments and underscored their relevance as a stimulus for the bank to continue deepening its role as a catalyst for sustainable development for the nation.

“We are committed to continue leading the banking system of the Dominican Republic with innovation and a sustainable vision, honoring the loyalty of our customers and the support of our collaborators, shareholders and suppliers,” said the executive president of Popular.
