On December 11, a symposium dedicated to Direct Democracy and Action Planning will be held at the Planning School in Caracas, through the lines of action proposed by the national government. The call was announced by the Sectoral Vice President of Popular Planning, Ricardo Menéndez.
During the workshop the topic of digital platforms as a new Popular Planning Doctrine will be discussed. Menéndez explained that the statistics of the Venezuelan State will adjust to the dynamics of the Communal State and the Communal Circuits, as part of the ongoing institutional reorganization.
He highlighted that the transition to the Communal State constitutes a historical moment, linked to the construction of 21st century socialism. “This process implies a comprehensive transformation of State structures to respond to new forms of popular organization.”
Furthermore, he highlighted that the reflections of the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, on national planning guide the commitment of the institutions around the strategic lines that seek to consolidate a management model based on the direct participation of the communities.
“This symposium is held with the vision of advancing towards the Venezuela of the Seven Great Transformations (7T) to promote spaces for debate and training that strengthen popular planning and the integration of the Communes in the conduct of the country’s economic and social processes,” said Menéndez.
