The document indicates that the parliamentary block will ask that the head of the MTC be presented before the Congress Supervision Commission to declare on the alleged irregularities indicated by its portfolio.
As recalled, the MTC made a presentation on Wednesday, before the press, in which he showed a report prepared by the consultant Rail Electric Service, which warned – in March – that the imported locomotives and wagons have a high index of criticality.
Congresswoman Norma Yarrow, spokeswoman for the group, said that the holder of Transportation knew the technical report prepared by the American consultant Rail Electrical Service, who was hired by the Lima commune.
“The report indicates that 80% of the donated material is in optimal conditions. The minister knew about this document and lied. He lied to the Transportation Commission and now, maliciously, his representative intends to manipulate the information, based on three wagons, of which two were not received because they were sinister,” he said.
Congressman Diego Bazán, Yarrow bench colleague, considered that it is a “cowardice” that the minister commissioned his chief of cabinet, Alberto Rojas, give the explanations. In addition, he indicated that accusations about the poor state of the wagons are false.
“This report indicates that what has been received, 80% is in good condition and we do not say it, the technical part says. We flatly denied that it is scrap, on the contrary, the locomotives and wagons are in operation and were operational until the last day,” he said.
