In order to strengthen popular power and promote the consolidation of the communes in Caracas, the Bicentennial Community Council Vista Alegre, July 5, located in the territorial scope of the commune March 5 Eternal Commander, sector El Valle, legitimized its vocers as part of the process of adapting local government instances.
The spokeswoman of the commune March 5, Anaís Márquez, explained that the Electoral Commission was activated to guarantee the development of this common event. “More than 30 % of citizens went out to vote, even young people over 15 years of age attended the call for the update and renewal of the different voices such as the Financial Administrative Unit, the Executive Unit, Social Comptroller and the Public Services Committee, among others,” he said.
For his part, the young Joseph Montaño, 21 years old, a resident of the town, said that this call of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, is very important. “Here we are young in this renewal of voices, as well as in the popular consultations promoted by the national government to carry out the execution of important projects.”
Likewise, the Director of the Foundation for the Development and Promotion of Community Power (Fundacomunal) in Caracas, Ericsson Longa, said that from the Ministry of Popular Power for the communes, social movements and urban agriculture, the necessary accompaniment is carried out to guarantee the success of the electoral event.
“Today in Caracas around 70 electoral processes are being carried out in the different territorial areas of the city in order to comply with the process of updating and renewing these government instances,” he said.
