Although César Combina announced his candidacy for the metropolitan mayor of Limathe —now— Fujimorista does not appear as such in the Electoral Platform of the National Elections Jury (JNE). Fuerza Popular did not present a list; so he will not tempt the metropolitan chair in the elections next October.
Meanwhile, Combina Salvatierra, who in the polls did not exceed 2% of the preferences, does appear as a candidate for mayor of San Isidro.
According to Keiko Fujimori, who through a video welcomed the former congressman for the second time, Fuerza Popular desists from obtaining the metropolitan region because “opposition forces must unite to defend our freedoms.”
