Popular Force does not rule out supporting Rafael López Aliaga: “We are going to listen to different candidates”

The former congressman ofMiguel Torres, assured that his political party will evaluate which candidate for mayor of Lima they will support in the elections of October this year, after it was confirmed that they would not present the nomination of César Combina for this position.

“We believe that the most appropriate thing is to step aside and say beyond speeches, with acts, that we are going to support the democratic candidate who achieves the largest number of calls”assured this Wednesday in RPP.

Miguel Torres, currently part of the Fuerza Popular advisory team, said that they will evaluate the proposals and actions of the candidates for the Municipality of Lima that will allow Lima to be “saved” from a left-wing administration.

On the other hand, the former parliamentarian denied that the decision not to nominate César Combina for Metropolitan Lima, but as a candidate for mayor of San Isidro, was due to low support in the polls of voting intentions.

Keiko Fujimori indicated that they will support a candidacy that manages to integrate those who believe that “Lima should not fall into the hands of populism or the left”, thus ruling out that they will run with César Combina for the Municipality of Lima.

“Times as difficult as the ones our country is experiencing require a joint effort and concrete actions. But, beyond words, we must speak with the language of facts. Opposition forces must unite to defend our freedoms”he wrote on the social network.

“For this reason, Fuerza Popular declines to participate in the elections for mayor of Lima. With no other condition than to preserve our democracy, we will support a candidacy that manages to integrate those of us who believe that Lima should not fall into the hands of populism or the left”he added.
