Popular consultation on Renewable Energy Project will begin

The national public consultation of the Renewable and Alternative Energy Law Project will begin in the second period of sessions of the National Assembly, informed the president of the Permanent Commission of Energy and Petroleum, deputy Ángel Rodríguez.

In addition to the communities, the country’s workers will also be invited to participate in the popular consultation.

“In this consultation we will also be calling on workers due to the importance of introducing a new energy matrix in the country through Renewable and Alternative Energies,” Rodríguez said in a note AN press release.

The deputy pointed out that during the parliamentary recess that began this Tuesday, the Permanent Commission on Energy and Petroleum will promote Social Street Parliamentarism.

He explained that this process implies an organization “that will allow the real and effective consultation with the communities and all sectors linked to the bill.

Renewable energy bill

It is planned to present the bill on renewable energies on September 15, during the second period of ordinary sessions of the National Assembly.

“The bill is ready and they aspire to present it to the Plenary Chamber in the second period of ordinary sessions that will begin on September 15,” deputy Ángel Rodríguez recalled.

He remembered that for proposal development Three discussion tables were set up: business, ministerial, and academic-scientific.

“The content of the bill is the product of the agreement of factors where debates have been held with all the members of this parliamentary body,” he said.

Scope of the law

As for the scope of the lawthe parliamentarian emphasized that “Renewable and Alternative Energies are non-polluting, which will benefit the environment.”

“It is not ruled out that in a few years the country’s hospitals or shopping centers could begin to use this type of energy, which will allow savings, technological development, jobs with qualified labor and a new formation of the matrix. energy that will also need industrial development and financing”, he concluded.
