The bench of Popular Action His parliamentary group for legislative period 2025-2026 has reconfigured, choosing the congressman Edwin Martínez Talavera as his new title spokesman.
The election was publicly greeted by the third vice president of Congress and also a militant of Popular Action, Ilich López Ureña, who precisely proposed to Martínez Talavera for the position in order to “promote consensus and strengthen unity within the group.” Through the X platform (formerly Twitter), López said: “I congratulate Congressman Martínez, whom I proposed as a spokesman for our bench. I am sure that, with her leadership, we will do a great work in favor of the country.”
The board of the parliamentary group is completed with Congresswoman Silvia Monteza Facho as the first alternate spokeswoman and the former president of the María del Carmen Alva Prieto Congress as the second alternate spokeswoman.
The new conformation of Popular Action is made up of ten congressmen: Carlos Enrique Alva Rojas, Luis Ángel Aragón Carreño, Ilich Freddy López Ureña, Silvia María Monteza Facho, Juan Carlos Mori Celis, Hilda Marleny Portero López, Wilson Soto Palacios, María del Carmen Alva Prieto, Pedro Edwin Martínez Talavera and Elvis Hernán Vergara Mendoza.
