After four days of hospitalization this Saturday, April 1, Pope Francis will receive a medical discharge. This was stated by the director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni, in a communication to journalists.
The decision was made by the medical team who, after having evaluated the results of the tests carried out today, saw the favorable clinical evolution of the Pope.
Bruni dijonqie the Pope remained collected in prayer on the afternoon of this Friday, March 31, in the chapel of his private apartment at the A. Gemelli Hospital in Rome, where he received the Eucharist.
The Pontiff today visited the pediatric oncology floor of the health facility and children’s neurosurgery and baptized little Miguel Ángel.
Bruni’s statement points out that the Supreme Pontiff also issued a message for “all those who contribute to alleviate the physical ills and anguish of those who, daily, are called to bear witness to the cross of Christ, and thanked their self-sacrifice and spirit of service”.
Pope Francis was admitted to the Gemelli Hospital on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 29, after presenting respiratory difficulties.
