The Holy See explained that the results of the evaluations show a respiratory infection (excluding infection by Covid 19) that will require a few days of adequate hospital medical treatment.

After the official communication, the director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni, issued another note in which he stated that the Pope is very moved by the many messages received and appreciates the closeness and prayers that come to him.
