Pope Francis expresses his condolences for the accident that occurred in Panama

In a telegram sent to Cardinal José Luis Lacunza by the office of the Holy See of the Vatican, Pope Francis expressed his condolences for the victims of the accident that occurred in Gualaca where 40 people lost their lives.
The telegram that bears the signature of the Cardinal Secretary of State, Pietro Parolin, expresses the deep sadness of the Holy Father for the victims and injured in this accident and asks for the recovery of the injured.

THE HOLY FATHER HAS RECEIVED WITH DEEP SADNESS THE NEWS OF A BUS ACCIDENT, OCCURRED IN THE AREA OF GUALACA, IN WHICH SEVERAL MIGRANTS HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES, AND OTHERS ARE INJURED. HIS HOLINESS FRANCISCO JOINS THE PAIN OF THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF THE DECEASED AND ASKS FOR THE PROMPT RECOVERY OF THE INJURED, WHILE HEARTFULLY GIVES THE COMFORTING APOSTOLIC BLESSING, AS A SIGN OF HOPE IN THE RISEN LORD.
