“Pools” by Rachel Valdés in Madrid

The Cuban artist Rachel Valdés will inaugurate her first individual exhibition “Piscinas” at La Cometa Gallery in Madrid, this Thursday, May 4, at 5 pm

Rachel Valdés has centered this exhibition around the immense empty swimming pools of Havana, for which she will have a total of 21 pieces including watercolors, digital drawings and photographs that are accompanied by a sound installation that reproduces the sound of a downpour.

“Piscinas” is a project in which the Cuban woman has been working for more than 10 years and which was born from her experiences in Cuba in the 90s.

When: Thursday May 4, at 5 pm

Where: The Kite Gallery. Calle San Lorenzo 11, Madrid.
