This week began in the midst of demonstrations in Colombia. Both in Bogotá and in many cities of the country, the ‘Great National March’ was held against the reforms proposed by the Government of Gustavo Petro. To the marches, who were looking for rejecting the Tax Reform, the Electoral Reform and the Health Reform, were mainly added supporters of right-wing politicians, although there are also independent citizens who are concerned about some government announcements.
Many users of social networks highlighted that this day of protests is that there was no vandalism, nor hooded or confrontations against the Public Forceremembering that in the past damage to public property and fights with Esmad were common.
One of those who highlighted this situation was the always controversial congressman Miguel Polo Polo, who highlighted that not a single Transmilenio bus or transportation system was vandalized during the marches“they see the difference between the right and left”.
Polo Polo assured that this Monday the people who “they work and love the country”: “Zero transmilenio stations and mine burned down. 0 shops and buildings destroyed. People who work, who love their homeland and who contribute to the country came out to march. There was no need for police or ESMAD. Everything was peaceful. See the difference between the right and left?”, he wrote in his networks.
