On Saturday the 29th, the nationalist youth voted to form the Departmental Convention and the National Youth Convention.
Some 700 young people voted in Nueva Palmira, and around 74,000 at the country level.
An unfortunate fact was told to EL ECO by adolescents from Nueva Palmira. A boy called them (we don’t give his name) and told them “go vote and have a beer”. There were families that forbade their children to accept that purchase of votes, the adolescent boys of 17 and 18 years old, were left without the beer.
Hopefully this was an isolated incident. This is not how politics is done. It would be good if the National Party investigated that extortion (hopefully it was a joke in bad taste), so that it never happens again.
