Political prisoner Jesús Gutiérrez González is still alive, he clarified organization this #30ene

The Cliip demanded that the State report transparently and timely about the state of the detainees, this after the case of Jesus Gutierrez González

The Committee for the Freedom of Political Prisoners (CLIIP) came up to the morning of this Thursday, January 30 to clarify the situation with the political prisoner Jesús José Gutiérrez González, after information about his death was disseminated.

The organization, using their social networksHe explained that he informed that Gutiérrez González’s family asked for help because several sources had told him that the man had died under the custody of the State due to his delicate state of health.

He pointed out that, given the insistence of requesting confirmation of the information, they agreed to publish the death because the relatives confirmed the fact. However, Jesús Gutiérrez’s sister received a call in which he was told that he was still alive.

In that sense, the CLIIP demands that the State imperatively report and transparently the health status of political prisoners, since «the policy of opacity and the denial of truthful and timely information have forced family members to resort to sources unofficial to know the status of their loved ones ».

Meanwhile, the portal The whistle He indicated that they managed to establish communication with the sister of the man and explained that they managed to speak directly with him.

«We knew that he was very delicate health. In our despair, we seek information, we request help to know and try to denounce that we did not know anything about the real situation, if my brother Jesus was alive or not. Today, they called us from the prison to verify their faith of life. Thank God he is alive, we talk to him, ”he said.
