The political prisoner and former Nicaraguan foreign minister, Francisco Aguirre Sacasa, was returned this Friday, November 11, to the cells of the Directorate of Judicial Assistance (DAJ) in Managua, known as El Chipote, according to sources close to the family of the prisoner of conscience.
The transfer of the former diplomat it happens two days after they did the same with the political prisoner and former president of the Superior Council of Private Enterprise (Cosep), Jose Adam Aguerriwho —according to the dictatorship— “failed to comply with the rules of house arrest.”
Aguirre Sacasa had been under a “house to jail” regimen since last February 19, for “health” reasons.
In the case of Aguirre Sacasa, the regime’s Police did not give any reason for the transfer.
According to the sources, some 20 police officers arrived last Thursday at the former diplomat’s home and carried out an inspection. However, they came back this Friday and took him away.
