One of the arbitrariness that Alemán’s mother points out is that the authorities of “La Modelo” did not allow the visit to take place in one of the classrooms of the gallery where he is being held, but in the maximum security cells of the prison.

“For the visit to my son they transferred him handcuffed in a minibus, from gallery 2 high, cell 36 to one of the maximum security classrooms (…) at all times we were watched by more than 12 guards who took pictures of us,” he denounced. .

He added that the jailers of the Penitentiary System justified the action against Alemán, arguing that it was “a special visit.” “Neither my son nor I are criminals to be harassed at all times,” he declared.

Bryan Alemán —according to his mother— is harassed and threatened by a La Modelo officer, identified as «Ramiro», who warns him “that at any time I can transfer you to 300 (maximum security cell)”.

“That Ramiro did not want to face me yesterday — Friday — and he listened to me when I said that I was not going to keep quiet anymore and that I would denounce all the abuses against my son. That reprisal is only against my son, “he added.

In addition, he explained that other jailers took away the food that he had brought to eat with the 30-year-old opponent. “That is a great humiliation what they did with my son,” he lamented.

He recalled that for “Holy Wednesday” this year, Bryan Alemán was beaten by jailers. «I will never forget what they did to my son; they hit him in the face, he was left very sick to his ears ».

Fear to die as Eddy Montes

Faced with this situation, the political prisoner told his mother that he fears for an outcome like that of political prisoner Eddy Montes, who was killed by an AK rifle shot on May 16, 2019, according to a complaint by a jailer from “La Modelo”. ».

«My son told me that they have threatened him and that just as they killed Eddy Montes, the same could happen to him; That’s why he told me to file the complaint before something happens to him,” he said.

María Mercedes Alemán lamented that even the right to carry a Bible was denied to her by agents of the Ortega regime. “It is unfair that they didn’t even let me pray, they took me out like an animal just for giving a prophetic word and saying that with the seven laps the walls fell down.”

On August 14, 2020, Bryan Alemán was detained, for the second time, by the Ortega Police, after he was released in June 2019 under the controversial Amnesty Law. On November 11, 2021, he was found guilty and the sentence was read on the 26th of the same month. The Ortega justice sentenced him to six years in prison for the alleged crime of drug trafficking.
