MIAMI, United States. — Cuban activist Ángel Cuza, one of the first to broadcast via Facebook Live the Saratoga hotel explosionwas arrested this Saturday by the political police, according to reports on social networks.
“Right now they have come to Pedro Quiala’s house to look for me. I don’t know what they want with me. I’m not going to go out. If they enter Pedro Quiala’s house, they are committing a serious crime,” the activist said minutes before being arrested.
Cuza made the complaint from Pedro Quiala’s Facebook profile because the authorities kept him without Internet service.
The arrest of the human rights activist was confirmed by a user identified as Ruth H Patterson.
“I just communicated with Pedro Quiala. I only tell the dictatorship that he is a person with a delicate medical condition. Whatever happens to him, the eyes of the world are on you and Cuba. The same with Angel Cuza. We want them free because they are innocent.”
A direct with almost 12,000 people

Ángel Cuza had already been arrested in the past April 27 and transferred to the Villa Marista prison the following day. On that occasion, State Security (SE) denied information to his family about the alleged crimes he was accused of and the criminal proceedings opened against him.
