This Tuesday the representatives of the different political parties that will be measured on May 25 in the electoral contest to elect governors, legislators and deputies, met at the headquarters of the National Electoral Council (CNE) in order to define their position on the electoral ticket.
In that sense, José Villarroel, representative of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) said that it was “a long and unusual day”, since 36 games made presence for the choice of their respective places on the electoral ballot.
«The patriotic pole showed the solid unity of the patriots. The thirteen parties that form the patriotic pole align ourselves at the top, in the front row and good calling for all our militancy to vote and support our candidates, our governors, those of the National Assembly and legislative advice, ”he said.
Attributed the duration of the day due to the “division” of opposition fractions. «We have three opposition blocks and three parties that are inscribed in isolation. The conflict was presented by the order in the ballot, really even when the theme is handled (one thing must be clarified are the alliances and others are the adhesions), logically the sequence in the ballot is armed (…) in order with the party that has made adhesions the most. Then this generated an internal difference that took an hour and a half, ”he explained.
When asked about the importance from the democratic point of view with the so -called megaelections, he said that there is a strengthening of the system.
«Not only the strength, the technical and legal system that our electoral system has, but the amplitude of participation of both the parties and the voters. We have a presence in the 24 states, including the Esequibo State, there will be a governor, a legislative council and there will be representation before the National Assembly, ”he explained.
He stressed that there are 10 regional games that will go to the position on the ballot tomorrow and three indigenous parties that are national.
