Delgado added that “at Radix we are convinced that what belongs to others cannot be touched. And politicians in public office must understand that the resources they administer are not theirs, they belong to the people, they belong to others and what belongs to others is not touched”.

“Taking someone else’s property is stealing, it’s corruption, it’s a crime and whoever commits a crime should go to jail; it’s that simple,” said Delgado, a candidate for the 8-5 circuit (before 8-9) of North Panama.

Chéry: LGBT and feminist groups intend to take away our freedoms

The journalist and candidate for deputy of the Radix Movement for San Miguelito, Jean Marcel Chéry, assured that “our freedoms are being threatened by LGBT and feminist groups that promote gender ideology globally.”

“The problem is that LGBT and feminist organizations have the objective of turning these ideas into laws, that is, they are public policies that seek to take away our freedoms,” explained Chery, who has also been a pro-family activist for more than 20 years.

The aspiring deputy for San Miguelito pointed out that “the main claim of gender ideology is that the State imposes its ideas on the entire society through laws, for this reason, we need men and women who, without fear, present themselves as candidates for deputies to stop these threats against our freedoms.”

“We can only do this with the support of Panamanians who believe in the protection of the traditional family, who are the majority and who have awakened to bring our pro-family principles to the National Assembly,” Chéry exclaimed.

Radix promotes national identity and denounces a campaign to destroy the self-esteem of Panamanians, said Ize Pereira, leader of the movement in the Guna Yala region.

“They want us to believe that our values are obsolete, that our customs are out of date, that our national identity does not fit with the new world trends and that our laws are outdated and must be abolished and replaced by public policies that come from outside and that they are saturated with gender ideology”, explained Pereira.

“Let it be well understood. If a student drops out of the school system, parents are going to have to face the Law. It should be clear that without education there is no future, but with education all goals can be achieved”, warned Hughes, before dozens of supporters, pro-family activists and candidates for elected positions belonging to the movement.

The event was attended by leaders from circuits 8-2 (San Miguelito), 8-3, 8-4 and 8-5; as well as Chiriquí, Ngäbe Buglé, Naso, Guna Yala, Madungandí, Wargandí, Emberá Wounaan, Colón, Panamá Oeste, Los Santos, Herrera and Darién comarcas.
