A well-known phrase expresses it well; “In the world everyone is free to do with their private parts what they want” however for some people the planet has changed for others it is natural that we have homosexuals who move freely where and when they want. It is something legally protected even though it generates cultural controversies as among us defined as a country as “wildly conservative.”
One of the toughest countries on these issues, like Singapore, decided that being homosexual is open and without penalty to decide. Before, the penalty consisted of years in prison for the person identified as gay or lesbian.
Singapore’s Parliament on Tuesday repealed a law criminalizing sexual relations between men that dated from British colonial times. This discriminatory and stigmatizing law provided for a maximum sentence of two years in prison.
Now it is already another reality that is lived on the island that thus a renewal of its legal parameters to be what one wants and how one wants.
The Singapore Parliament also amended the local Constitution to specify that a marriage can only be between a man and a woman, preventing same-sex couples from obtaining marriage equality.
While this is happening 16,892 km from our country, here the educational programs continue to be discussed and in what way and how much information should be given to children or young people about LGBTQ trends.
High political contamination
There are people who do not agree with this type of “educational programs” that are considered something bad even for our condition as human beings that if we do not change our way of seeing ourselves or acting to do bad things, it is a personal and private decision to decide to be gay or not The Chamber of Deputies by a large majority decided to cancel a donation from the EU because they believe that behind it there is a strong lobby to change the curricular plans on these issues.
It must stop bothering and in turn we must search and find ways to integrate all human beings regardless of size, color or characteristics that do not determine in themselves what or the way of thinking or feeling about something specific. It is not right to discriminate, reject, humiliate or set aside a person from a different country, political party, sports club or sexual tendency to ours, as well as to do political proselytism with these issues. The parties emptied of content, dogmas and referents take these issues to manipulate many who are completely unaware of these issues.
It is important to be aware that today is not the same as yesterday, there are hours, days, months and years that separate us, enough time to meditate and make decisions as Singapore did last week. It is the time for a mature and true discussion on these issues. Now everything is very contaminated between us.
Non-existent attitude unfortunately in Russia because Canada will summon the Russian ambassador for “hateful” tweets towards the LGBT+ community
