Polimonagas officials arrested Santiago Lucas Gil, 24 years old, accused of killing his mother Francis Gil (55), according to versions obtained from security organizations.
The bloody event occurred last Thursday afternoon at the lady’s home located in the Valle Real urbanization, Maturín (Monagas).
The subject hit the mother with a shovel on the head until she was knocked down and later tried to dismember her with a saw.
Gil’s body was left lying in the kitchen of the house. When the police commission arrived, the man turned himself in and was later placed at the order of the Public Ministry.
Francis suffered from a disability for which he used a cane. She was a hairdresser.
