PoliCojedes arrested a woman with camouflaged drugs

This Tuesday, a 26-year-old woman was arrested when she was trying to bring in nine grams of cocaine camouflaged in a box of acetaminophen. The arrest occurred during the delivery of food to the prisoners held in the cells of the general command of the Cojedes state police.

The arrest was made thanks to the quick intervention of state officials, who noticed something unusual in one of the medicine packages, in particular, a box of acetaminophen that had been altered to conceal two plastic bags containing the aforementioned illicit substance.

Commissioner Agusmil Fernando Mendoza, commander of PoliCojedes, highlighted the effectiveness of the security measures implemented, since, during the last 3 months, this is the second case of cocaine seized from women in the custody and guarantee area of ​​the detainee after these review procedures.

He also reported that Astrid Querales, the woman arrested, was placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and that “within our facilities we guarantee all security measures to be strictly complied with and not allow events like these” Mendoza emphasized.
