Police search the house and office of the Rio de Janeiro councilor

The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro this morning (7) carried out search and seizure warrants in 11 places related to councilor Gabriel Monteiro (PL) and his advisers and former advisers, including the parliamentarian’s house in Barra da Tijuca, west side of the city, and the office in the City Council, in Cinelândia.Police search the house and office of the Rio de Janeiro councilor

The operation concerns the investigation of the leak of a video in which the councilor appears having sex with a minor. Both claim that the relationship and filming were consensual, but Monteiro accuses employees of leaking the video, which circulated through WhatsApp groups.

The search and seizure was authorized by the judicial duty to collect notebookscomputers, tabletscell phones, kindles, smartphonesexternal and portable media such as external hard drives, flash drives, CDs, DVDs and the like.

The Court also authorized the removal of telephone and computer confidentiality for all the content of the seized devices and media, as well as the breach of data confidentiality of messages contained in applications on the equipment.

THE Brazil Agency tried to contact the councilor’s office, but still no response.
