Police save a woman from dying at the hands of her ex-partner in Arraiján

Police units from the Arraiján Police Zone and the Judicial Investigation Directorate manage to rescue a woman who raised the alarm after being beaten by her ex-partner in the Cerro Silvestre sector, in the Arraiján district.

The call to the police was received at night on Sunday, where a woman was being beaten and kicked by a man. The units quickly arrived at a residence where they located the female who managed to leave the residence injured, immediately apprehending the alleged attacker.

It was learned that it is an ex-couple, where the man arrives at the residence and without saying a word assaults the woman with blows and kicks, in addition to threatening her with a knife and trying to suffocate her, for which she was referred for medical attention, meanwhile, the aggressor was placed under the orders of the Public Ministry.

The National Police calls on the general population to report in a timely manner acts of domestic violence that can lead to the commission of more serious acts such as Femicide and Homicide.
