Since early Saturday morning, the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) in coordination with other security forces, has been deploying in various sectors of Caracas with a view to neutralizing plans for violence hatched by opposition groups, according to reports.
According to preliminary reports, the deployment is carried out by approximately 6,000 officers, including military agents and those from the CICPC, the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas), the Bolivarian National Police, Polimiranda, Policaracas and Polisucre, among others.
In Petare
Petare is one of the sectors of Greater Caracas that woke up taken over by police and military agents. In this parish of the Sucre municipality (Miranda), the gang founded by Wilexis Acevedo Monasterio (El Wilexis) operates, whose members carried out acts of violence on Monday, July 29, after María Corina Machado rejected the results of the presidential elections.
The early morning attack also included the El Valle parish, where the Los Bataneros del 70 gang burned tires, blocked the Intercomunal, destroyed vehicles, killed two people and tried to assault a women’s prison, located near Plaza Bolívar, according to witnesses.
The police and military commissions are also focused on El Guarataro, from where hooded motorcyclists belonging to the gangs of Los Boxeadores and El Jefrito left, allegedly responsible for the murders of Edgar Alexander Aristigueta Orta (42) and Jeison Gabriel España Guillen (18), an event that occurred on the night of Monday, July 29 in Capuchinos, during the riots in that area.
Other sectors where officials have been deployed since midnight on Friday: Catia, La Silsa, Moran-San Martin, La Yaguara, Antimano, Carapita, Caricuao-UD-5-UD-7, La Redoma de La India, Lomgaray-Calle 14, Coche-Rinconada, Kms. 0 La Panamericana-Estanque-Calle Zea; La Pastora-Puerta Caracas, Las Flores Market-Cotiza.
