Santo Domingo.- The National Police reported this Friday that Wilson Radhamés Martínez, “Mi Mai,” 27, died after a confrontation with agents during an operation in the La Mina del Café sector, in Herrera, Santo Domingo Oeste.
According to the preliminary report, “Mi Mai,” was wanted for allegedly committing multiple criminal acts and he had two arrest warrants against him, numbered 2024-TAUT-03288 and 2024-TAUT-03121.
The agents, assigned to the Criminal Investigations Subdirectorate (Dicrim), were patrolling in the area when Martínez, upon noticing their presence, tried to escape by shooting at them repeatedly.
Faced with the attack, the agents repelled the attack, resulting in a confrontation in which Martínez was injured and later died while receiving medical attention.
At the scene, a revolver was seizedca Taurus, caliber 38, without legible numbering, which he would have used to shoot at the officers.
The National Police reiterated its commitment to guarantee citizen security and combat crime, acting within the framework of the law and protecting the integrity of the population.
