Santo Domingo. – The National Police reported that after a follow-up effort, Olten Guzmán or Yohan Pérez, alias, was killed in La Romana “La Greña”an alleged criminal who remained a fugitive from justice after having escaped from Cucama Correction and Rehabilitation Centerwhere he was serving a 20-year prison sentence for having committed multiple robberies.
According to the law enforcement report, “La Greña” kept “anxiety” to the residents of Villa Hermosa, in the aforementioned province.
The Police indicated that the incident occurred in the La Sabanita sector, after the agents responded following a complaint from a sergeant of the institution, who reported having been assaulted and threatened with sexual assault by the deceased.
In that order, he pointed out that “La Greña” upon noticing the police presence, opened fire against the agents, which forced the uniformed officers to repel the aggression.
He reported that a revolver Dan Wesson brand 38 special caliber, as well as four cell phones, scissors and a set of keys; belongings, which according to the institution, had been stolen minutes before from employees of the free zone of that town.
The National Police highlighted that the body of the individual was transferred to the Regional Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif), in San Pedro de Macorís, for the corresponding procedures.
