Santo Domingo.- The National Police reported that one of the members of the motorized criminal gang that assaulted a citizen in the Los Ríos sector, of the National District, was killed in the middle of a confrontation with agents attached to the Department of Investigation of Crimes and Offenses against Persons (Homicide), registered in Santo Domingo Oeste, legal action in which another of his accomplices was injured and a third arrested.
The alleged offender killed is Ronny Guzmán Burgos (El Meloso), 19, who was also actively wanted for his involvement in the incident in which two men were killed and three others injured during a confrontation between rival gangs over alleged drug issues. , which occurred on April 4, 2022.
The incident occurred during a raid carried out together with the Public Ministry in the El Brisal sector, located at kilometer 20 of the Duarte highway, by means of order No.001-November-2022.
Case of Los Ríos
One of the crimes attributed to “El Meloso” was captured on surveillance videos when, together with seven other men, including the two detainees, they assaulted a citizen who was walking down one of the streets of the Los Ríos sector.
In this event, Luis Alberto Pérez Alcántara (a) El Mello was injured, and Ángel Miguel Brito (Papa) was arrested, who had arrest warrant No.0053-October-2022 against him.
In the same way, a 19-year-old girl, whose identity is reserved, was arrested for investigative purposes, from whom three cell phones were seized.
