The National Police and the Public Ministry of the National District investigate the death of a 25-year-old young man that occurred during a preventive police intervention in the sector Villa ConsueloNational District, a fact by which the acting agents are formally under investigation by the institution’s internal control bodies.
The victim was identified as Rancel Junior Garcíawho died while receiving medical care at a health center after presenting a gun wound of fire, according to the information offered by the National Police.
Through a press release, the Police said that, according to preliminary data, the event occurred on the night of Saturday, December 20, when a mixed patrolmade up of police and military agents, carried out preventive work to deter a sonic pollution in the area, subsequently producing a conflictive situation.
