In order to guarantee tourists a safe and pleasant experience, the National Police through the Tourist Police Service installs 80 QR codes in the different hotels, shops and docks on Isla Colón, Bocas del Toro.
With this initiative, tourists are offered the appropriate information on key recommendations by scanning them, thus providing information in English and Spanish, said Major José Gómez, head of the Tourist Police Service on Isla Colón.
In addition, periodic visits are made to these premises, where the units advise the owners on joint actions in the area of prevention.
The Tourist Police service has units trained in topics related to dealing with the public, knowledge of different languages and places of tourist interest, among other aspects that contribute to strengthening tourism in Panama.
