The Military Police (PM) of the Federal District reported this Thursday (14) that they found explosive devices in the place where Francisco Wanderley Luiz was staying, in Ceilândia, an administrative region about 30 kilometers from the center of Brasília. Francisco, known as Tiu França, is from Rio do Sul (SC) and died on Wednesday night (13) after detonating explosives in Praça dos Três Poderes, around 7:30 pm.
Survey
During the early hours of the morning, the PM bomb squad carried out a sweep of the area and found three more devices, which were deactivated to ensure the safety of the agents who worked on the investigation into the episode, under the responsibility of the Federal Police (PF) and the DF Civil Police. . The site was released at 7am for forensic examination and Francisco’s body was removed at 9am.
The buildings of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and the Planalto Palace were also inspected during the night.
The PM is still carrying out sweeps of the house in Ceilândia and the parking lot of Annex IV of the Chamber of Deputies, where Francisco’s car was, which also exploded last night. The agents are carrying out the controlled detonation of the explosives that were found in the car.
Inquiry
THE PF opened investigation to investigate the case. Criminal experts will investigate the explosions with a strategy similar to scenario reconstruction in identifying the crimes of January 8th last year, when Três Poderes buildings suffered coup attacks.
Among the first procedures that the PF must carry out on site are the identification of all traces, in addition to identifying images of the area with 3D technological tools in order to understand, in detail, the dynamics of the attack. Video from STF security cameras show Francisco throwing explosive devices towards the Justice sculpture, which is in front of the Court building, and then lighting another on his own body.
The loud bangs of the explosions were heard at the end of the session taking place in the STF plenary and the Court ministers were safely removed from the place. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was not at the Planalto Palace at the time of the incident; he left the place at around 5:30 pm.
