This Thursday, more than 100 police officers executed an eviction order and they withdrew at least 50 families who were settled on the property called San Joaquín, which It is owned by the municipality of Ascension de Guarayos and is destined to be an educational equipment area.

“The Bolivian population is informed that, in compliance with the eviction order from the San Joaquín property, in the municipality of Ascension de Guarayos, in the department of Santa Cruz, 114 police officers, 9 patrol cars and 8 minibuses to combat the subjugation”, reported the Minister of Government, Eduardo Del Castillo, on his social networks.
For his part, Eduardo Cuéllar, legal adviser for the municipality of Ascensión, said that andThis eviction was already being postponed, “How to give people the opportunity to leave the land voluntarily.”
He mentioned that for the disempowerment all legal processes were complied with, because the properties have all the documentation required by law, in addition, he said, that a Public Faith notary was present to supervise the intervention.
In the eviction there were no clashes because most of the houses that were demolished were empty and the families that were left took their belongings without offering any resistance.
Miguel Maco, president of the Federation of Neighborhood Councils, applauded compliance with the court order, as he assured that this property is intended for the construction of an educational village.
