The Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) interrupted at dawn today (27) a party with 500 people in the rural area of Gama, in the Federal District. Due to the increase in cases of covid-19 and the capacity of intensive care unit (ICU) beds in hospitals, the local government determined that the Carnival without public parties, without events with admission charge and without agglomerations.
According to the PM, the party did not have administrative authorization and also did not comply with the biosecurity protocols regarding the pandemic of the new coronavirus. Police also said they found a large amount of marijuana, cocaine, crack, ecstasy and a simulated firearm. Two men were arrested for drug trafficking. The detainees and the organizers were taken to the 20th precinct, where the act took place.
On Friday (25), an operation – composed of inspection bodies of the Federal District Government and the Public Ministry of the Federal District and Territories (MPDFT) – inspected almost 150 establishments and closed 17 bars in Plano Piloto, Santa Maria, Gama and other places for non-compliance with the sanitary protocol.
Of this total, eight were closed. There was also an integrated action with the Detran-DF, with more than 30 cases of alcohol consumption at the wheel having been recorded.
Two parties were also banned at Conic and one at the North Storage and Supply Sector. Inspection will continue on Monday and Tuesday of Carnival, from 18:00 to 2:00 in the morning.
